I let her know I'd been reading on LDS. This is how I felt when I married my exmo husband. While the Church allows dating at 16, it discourages serious relationships until you both are older and considering marriage. These girls are nervous around non-Mormons. I had been teetering on the fringes for quite a long time, mostly coming to Church but not really being present, because I felt like an outcast as an older single. This is such a misinformed statement. Do you think that is too draining too. God loves every last one of us, regardless of religious affiliation. It just seems like I'm never on his mind unless I'm physically in front of him, and then he's sweet as can be.
Unfortunately, this has led to a culture of Mormon girls who are absolutely obsessed with Disney and even as adults dream of being Disney princesses. Patriarchal leadership is something that most women in the world valued until recently, but it is still a chief value with Mormons. But I got tired of that, and I made it clear to him that I will stay in with him as often as he wants, put him to bed, make food with him or for him, clean, etc. It has already taken him us 3 years since he got out of school and finally just matched this year. Your comment is SO spot on in my experience. For the official Church websites, please visit LDS. Be prepared for divorce.
